INTRODUCTION Regarding the transposition of Directive (EU) 2015/2302 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on package travel and linked travel arrangements into Greek law, there are three (3) controversial issues in the Presidential Decree No 7 of 2018 “Harmonization of legislation on Directive (EU) 2015/2302 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on package travel and linked travel arrangements” (hereinafter referred to as “P.D. 7/2018”). P.D. 7/2018 implemented the new Package Travel Directive in Greece. 2. DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/2302 IN GREEK LAW More precisely, paragraph 3 of article 3 of P.D. 7/2018 refers to the percentage of 25% of the value of the combination of the tourist services, whereas article 2 paragraph 2 of the Directive does not mention such percentage but only refers to “a significant proportion of the value of the combination” .
