586 COLLECTIVE COMMENTARY ABOUT THE NEW PACKAGE TRAVEL DIRECTIVE 28. United Kingdom The following regulations are applied 135 . a) Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing Act 2017 CHAPTER 33 136 . b) 2018 n.º 634. Consumer Protection. The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 137 . CONCLUSIONS We have conducted an exhaustive analysis of all applicable regulations in the EU countries, in relation to the transposition of the Directive (EU) 2015/2302 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on package travel and linked travel arrangements, amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Council Directive 90/314/EEC. The deadline, according to art. 28, it was January 1, 2018, to adopt the appropriate legal texts with the purpose of incorporating the Directive, and that shall be applied as a maximum term from July 1, 2018. Otherwise, they will be sanctioned. In the study we have done, we observe that Hungary, Ireland and Spain are the ones who have made the incorporation later. In the case of Spain, the latest regulations by Decree-Law 23/2018 stand out. The most conflicting aspects to be adapted to the internal regulations of the countries have been the following: The inclusion of an additional guarantee to cover the failure to comply with the contract of the package travel, together with the finantial insolvency guarantee; Establishment of a joint liability for travel agencies and organisers; The option of unilaterial withdrawal by consumers, without having to justify the withdrawal, within 14 days. 135 Date of last update: June 2018. 136 Available in: https://ec.europa.eu/info/sites/info/files/atol_act_2017.pdf (Consulted 31 July 2019). 137 Available in: https://ec.europa.eu/info/sites/info/files/uk-2018-634-pt-lta-regulations.pdf (Consulted 31 July 2019).
