INTRODUCTION This paper takes a closer look to some questions which arose from the legislation created by implementing the NPTD in Finland. The author worked at the FCCA from December 2017 until September 2018 and can reflect on the issues he worked with during his tenure at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) 2 . This paper is not meant to be a thorough analysis of the implementation process but rather a short presentation on the distinctive features of the transposition in the Finnish legal framework. The case examples in paragraph 3 are based on statements prepared and presented by the author in the Office. Although this is the current interpretation of the national authority, it also represents the author’s own interpretation of the purpose of the Directive. In order to deal with the success of the implementation, it would be necessary to have the first national and EU court decisions evaluated. Further studies on the subject could include topics such as subjective views from the travel industry on the functionality of the NPTD articles in national legislation. 1 Associate Lawyer.
