28 SUSTAINABLE TOURISM LAW • economic sustainability: – to increase and spread the search throughout the territory: 80 million overnight stays; – to grow in value: EUR 26 billion in revenue. To achieve these results, we developed projects that claim to be acceleration engines and that have demonstrated a great capacity for mobilization, such as Valorizar, Revive, Portuguese Trails, All for All or the Linha de Sustentabilidade no Turismo (line of sustainability in Tourism). We are currently developing a network of regional observatories of sustainability in tourism throughout the country and an online release system of indicators which will be available to all in TravelBI, also working in cooperation withTelecom operators to measure and manage more efficiently and intelligently, the streams of visitors. To have reliable information and to share that information and the best-practice methods are key factors that enable us to act. This book, that I salute, also contributes to this. There is much to do and the dynamics of joint work has been critical to the results we’re getting and that allow to position Portugal as an international case study in terms of statement on sustainability in tourism.
