Cultural tourism is potentially interesting for both local and foreign tourists in terms of cities, architectural heritage and the country's history (Lithuanian Tourism Development Programme 2014–2020) 4 . Health tourism – tourism in order to receive personal health care and/or health services (Lithuanian Tourism Development Programme 2014–2020). This is one of the areas of tourism that plays an important role in strengthening public health and enabling people to integrate more quickly into the labour market after rehabilitation. Lithuania is well known in Europe for its balneological resorts, which burst with natural springs of healing mineral water. In Lithuania, sanatorium resort treatment is provided, which has a strong rehabilitation base and preventive programmes. The main Lithuanian resorts: Druskininkai, Palanga and Birštonas have excellent sanatoriums, spas and wellness centers. Trakai – focused on spa hotels, where prevention programmes, health and conference tourism predominate. In Lithuania, there are also institutions providing medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment services for children and institutions providing medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment services for adults - there are more than 120 of them. Business tourism – tourism for professional or work purposes in order to acquire and supplement professional knowledge. It includes participation in business meetings, seminars, conferences, congresses, exhibitions, etc. The development of business tourism is one of the most important measures to increase hotel occupancy and improve the results of the accommodation business.
