5 The National Association of Sanatoriums and Rehabilitation Institutions was established in 1998. The organisation unites fifteen organisations providing sanatorium resort treatment, medical rehabilitation and health services in Lithuania. The National Association of Sanatoriums and Rehabilitation Institutions actively participate in the formulation and implementation of sanatorium resort treatment, medical rehabilitation and health policy, represent the interests of the members of the Association in state and municipal institutions and establishments, other organisations, including foreign states, assist the members of the Association in the organisation, management, marketing and other strategic issues of sanatorium spa treatment, medical rehabilitation and health services and e.c.t.( The National Association of Sanatoriums and Rehabilitation Institutions, 2021). In the Republic of Lithuania tourism services are determined by several main legal acts which are the following: 1) Lithuanian Tourism Development Programme 2014-2020; 2) Strategy of Lithuania Tourism Marketing for 2014-2020; 3) Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania (2000); 4) Law on Tourism of the Republic of Lithuania (2018); 5) Law on Consumer Protection of the Republic of Lithuania (2007); 6) 07.08.2018 Order of the Director of the State Department of Tourism No V-132 “Order approving the standard terms and conditions for package travel contracts”; 7) 07.08.2018 Order of the Director of the State Department of Tourism No V-133 “Order approving standard information forms”; and 8) other legal acts (regulating the procedure for issuing a tour operator's certificate, legal regulation of accommodation services and requirements for guides and tour guides, etc.). Lithuanian Tourism Development Programme 2014-2020 is closely related to other state programs and strategies (National Progress Strategy “Lithuania 2030“(2012); National Progress Program 2014-2020 (2012) as well as EU legal acts (directives and communications).
