Sustainability: expansion and interdisciplinary approach Sustainability, which includes a large number of disciplines, focuses its attention on social, economic and environmental issues. In recent times, Sustainability has been connected with the concept of “Green Economy”. UNEP – United Nations Environmental Programme – is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment 89 . As it had been observed, now “Sustainability” is “ a multidimensional and multilevel approach to creating future-oriented ways of living that balance human activity and wildlife processes over long-term time frames ” 90 . It has also been written that “ sustainability as being about designing and organizing human activity in such a way that the complexity and interconnectedness of all systems are taken into account and the survival of any one system is dependent on the health of the others ” 91 .
