12 foodstuffs laid down in Regulations No 1151/2012 28 , No 664/2014 29 and No 668/2014 30 , and adapted to take account of the specificities of the wine sector. 2.1. Rules on the labelling of foodstuffs applying to the wine sector Chapter VI of Title III of Regulation No479/2008 laid down the general rules for the labelling and presentation of certain wine sector products. Rules designated to cover foodstuffs finally applied to wine sector products, except where expressly excluded by the Directives concerned. It is worth mentioning the Directive 2007/45/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 laying down rules on nominal quantities for prepacked products, as well as the First Council Directive 89/104/EEC of 21 December 1988 to approximate the laws of the Member States relating to trade marks. These shall apply to every trademark in respect of goods, which is the subject of registration, or of an application in a Member State for registration as an individual trademark, a collective mark or a guarantee or certification mark, or which is the subject of a registration or an application for registration, affecting a Member State. Council Directive 89/396/EEC of 14 June 1989 on indications or marks identifying the lot to which a foodstuff belongs concerns the indication which allows identification of the lot to which a foodstuff belongs. Accordingly, a “ lot ” means a batch of sales units of a foodstuff produced, manufactured or packaged under practically the same conditions. A foodstuff, including the wine, may not be marketed unless it is accompanied by the indication which allows identification of the lot to which it belongs.
